Serpent History - Centuries ago Argios the God of Love offended Melanus the God of Fate. As a result, Melanus placed a powerful curse on Argios. A century passed by without the curse manifesting itself. Argios decided that Melanus did not have sufficient power to curse one as mighty as he. Another century passed and Argios had completely forgotten the Curse. He was soon to be reminded. Argios was involved in a relationship with Adalla the Goddess of Poetry and Song. After decades of romance, they finally had a child. The young female was named Yitskar. She was beautiful and graceful, seemingly the perfect child. The happy family spent decades in blissful joy until one summer night Yitskar was visited by a serpent of great power. The serpent spent hours talking with Yitskar and finally convinced her that evil should be worshipped and to show her devotion to evil Yitskar must kill her father. Yitskar agreed to perform the deed. The powerful serpent changed form and became a razor sharp dagger which Yitskar gracefully picked up. Yitskar snuck into the master bedroom where her parents were sound asleep. She rose that dagger and drove it deep into Argios's heart. He died with a terrible roar which shook all of Gateway. As this vile act was being performed, Melanus sat in an old rickety rocking chair in her small mountain cabin. She had an evil grin on her face and was cackling with glee. Her curse upon Argios had finally come to fruition.

Those who now worship Yitskar revel in evil and are quick to spot and utilize an opponent's weakness. Yitskar has amassed an elite group of worshippers that are great warriors. They are granted special abilities and powers from the Great Goddess. All she asks in return is that these Serpent Warriors embrace evil and do her bidding.
